Today, Kelly DeVos, author of Fat Girl On A Plane, joins me! And she has some great things to say and shares why being body positive matters.
Kelly shares with me the importance of writing a story like this and how important it is to have your self-esteem come from a place within you and who you are as a person vs. how society thinks you should look and your body size.
That your value doesn’t come from your weight because you’re already valuable.
We can impact the way society treats people by being aware of how we spend our money (especially in the fashion industry) and by the way we decide to treat people with kindness, love, and respect regardless of what size they are.
I personally really loved and enjoyed reading Fat Girl On A Plane. It was eye-opening to me, plus I love a good story. This book is worthy of gifting to the young women in your life who struggle with loving their body and think they can’t chase their dreams because of it.
