I get it, if I run, I pee. #momlife which is why I stick to my goal of nailing the handstand.
Though I’m still waiting for my massive success… and convincing millions to love their fine selves…. I’ve also found myself overcoming lies that will sneak into my life and blindside me from my greatness. I’m still a work in progress. I’m sure you’ll be able to relate to at least one of the lies life will throw at you
I believe Pain is pain. It might come from different sources, though the pain of battling your self-worth or events that happen in life is real… for all of us. Not one of us is getting out of this life without a few scars.
Scars tell our story and remind us that we’ve made it through our worst days.
Reading this book, I felt like I was sitting down with a friend with a glass of wine listening to her stories. It’s a super easy book to read with a positive and uplifting vibe.
Rachel is a Christian woman who shares examples from her life on how she has made it through challenging times in her life. The short tips at the end of each chapter are great starters for someone wanting to move through their stuff.
I hadn’t heard of Rachel before this book. I saw Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis all over Instagram, so I thought I would give it a read. I found myself relating to several of her stories or the lies she told herself. This was a fun book to read. I read some reviews that say she has a condescending tone, I didn’t get that. I enjoyed it enough to give her a follow on Insta and check out her blog.
Parting thoughts… you make the change in your life, the lives of others, and the world only by what you do every day based on what you believe – there aren’t any quick fixes. You’ll have to put in the work and create the habits to overcome the lies you’ve been believing and set yourself up to reach your goals. Remember to be open to other paths when the one you started on didn’t quite hit the mark.
You’ve got this.
And if you haven’t listened to my podcast yet, girl, get on that!! Sending so much love your way, Steph
