Sunday Affirmations #3

Remember, affirmations are a great way to exercise your brain and retrain it to focus on what you want it to focus on. The statements you want to be saying to yourself.

They help us create our best self and best life.

I also encourage you to move your body while saying them or at least start with smiling while saying them. You can say them to yourself, out loud, or shout them, any way works.

Once you find one that resonates with you… keep it as your mantra for the week. With a goal of saying it 400 times a day.

Wait… pump the breaks there, Steph. 400 times a day?! No one has time for that!!

If we counted all the thoughts on autopilot that are destructive, I am sure we would count more than 400 a day.

The word on the street is we have between 60,000 and 80,000 thoughts a day. So the 400 that you are 100% focused on and making them positive in your favor, is easy peasy. At least I like to think so.

If anything, it will get easy with practice because then it is familiar and becomes a habit. At this point in my life, my thoughts automatically start to think positive statements when I do yoga, stretch, or go for a walk. And then I just focus in on the thought and my breath. It feels pretty wonderful.
