DIY Almond Protein Bars

These are my new favorite snack to make and they come in super handy on those long days spent playing at the science museum. #parentlife

And they’re filling because they include healthy fats and protein! When I make these, I totally feel like I’m winning at life.

What you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of almonds
  • 2 tablespoons of almond butter
  • 20 pitted dates

Process until sticky and to your liking (I like to have a few almond pieces in mine).

And then place in a bread pan or different container (I used a storage container) and press the mixture down until flat and then place in the freezer for about 10 minutes.

Cut into bars and enjoy!!

I like to keep mine in the fridge until I’m going to gobble a bar up!

They are pretty easy to wrap up and bring with you as a snack.

Also – I like to select almond butter with the only ingredient being almonds. Otherwise, your bars make go from the healthy side to the dark side if your almond butter contains sugar or other ingredients that don’t need to be in there. đŸ˜‰

These are clean and yummy almond protein bars to support your fitness and health goals.

Make em, eat em, and let me know what you think and what other types of healthy recipes you’d like.

Oh, and these bars are plant based so they are vegan and they also count for those on the paleo lifestyle.
