“Grief is not your master. When you take it by the hand and make it your friend, that is when you recover.” ~ Robin Chodak

She specializes in grief coaching for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. She wants to help you learn to live and love life after loss.

Robin left her job after 20 years as a computer software systems analyst following the suicide of her husband in 2005. Her journey through grief led to her transformation. She now loves to write and has published two books: “Be Gentle with Me, I’m Grieving” which won an Excellence Award in 2017 on the topic of Grief. And “Moving to Excellence, A Pathway to Transformation After Grief.”

She is currently working on a novel based on her true story through grief to loving life. Her purpose is to encourage and motivate others through teaching and professional coaching.

Contact Robin on her website or find her on Instagram @robinchodak_coach or Twitter @suiciderecovery.

You can find her online support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. She has a mobile app for Android, Think Excellent Thoughts.

Language is important:

  • Someone does not “succeed” or “commit” suicide, they “completed” suicide, “killed themselves”, or “died by suicide”.
  • Robin wants to stress that you couldn’t have prevented someone’s suicide.
