Episode 46: How to Have A More Fulfilling Sex Life

I often get the question of how can a couple have a more satisfying sex life.

Here are some of the tips I like to offer to have a fulfilling sex life: (I expand on them in the episode)

  • Take off the pressure.
  • Foreplay starts outside of the bedroom.
    • Make sure your partner knows you are thinking of them and they are special to you on a daily basis
    • Say and do things that demonstrate this – this includes sending a cute text throughout the day
      • Keoni will often send me a song that made him think of me – I love that. <3
  • Take time to know what turns your partner on and off – and then honor that – use that information for your own good
  • Take time to build your friendship.
  • Make a “play jar” that you both contribute to.
  • Cuddle.
  • Turn toward your partner.

If your partner has sexual trauma:

They may benefit from:

  • Talking with a sex therapist
  • EMDR
  • Hypnosis
  • Breathing techniques
  • Reconnecting to their body through mind and body work
  • Yoga

Remember to give it time. You don’t get fit in a day, nor will your relationship turn around sexually in a day.
