Let’s face, going out on Valentine’s Day can be overrated. Spending double the price for the same meal you could get on a different day of the week isn’t for everyone. Yet, we still want to celebrate with our love face! So this lead me to want to share some fun and unique date ideas that you can do to celebrate your love. Though, honestly, it would do us good to feed our relationship every day not just on February 14th.

Make A Fort and Favorite Meal

Remember how fun it was to make a fort when you were little? Recreate this as an adult. Surprise your love with a fort or craft one together. And then enjoy one of your favorite meals in the fort. Perhaps play a game or tell stories, even watch a movie. Whatever you decide to do, this invites in a playful spirit and will provide a lasting memory.

Picnic Favorite Place In Nature

Grab your love, pack some goodies, and go to your favorite spot in nature. Disconnect from technology and connect with your love face. This date is good for the mind, body, and soul. This is also a nice and romantic date as well. This builds on your friendship, can be as active as you’d like, and you can pack your favorite treats. Create a memory that includes a moment in nature.

Star Gaze

Who doesn’t love to gaze at the stars? And what a romantic idea! If your backyard doesn’t work (if you’re like me, you may not even have a backyard) then grab some chairs or you can make your truck bed into a cozy spot for some ultimate star gazing. Grab some goodies and find a place that allows you to see some stars. Ask each other some open-ended questions to continue building on your already fabulous friendship.

How fun would this be? Who doesn’t want to tap into their inner pirate and go on a treasure hunt? You can make it a stop of places that hold special memories for you. Have the scavenger hunt end at a location where you meet your love and are ready for a new adventure/experience together. Perhaps you go zip lining or try out that new winery.
